Presbyterian WomenOn the second Wednesday of the month, the women of First Church come together for fellowship and bible study, this coming fall (2024) they will be studying Who Is Jesus? What a Difference a Lens Makes. Author Judy Yates Siker invites you to join her on “a journey to expand our understanding of who Jesus was and is—a journey of our hearts and minds, a journey that we will take together.” The book is $9 and is available now, call the office if you are interested in joining. The women are a warm and welcoming group!
All women are invited to join in this Wednesday morning Bible Study that meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month @ 9:45 am, Bible Study starts at 10:00 am with a short business meeting to follow. Bible Study, refreshments, and fellowship are a great way to meet other women of First Church!! Our PW group is part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)'s national Presbyterian Women's organization. The purpose of PW is this: Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves: ·To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, ·To support the mission of the church worldwide, ·To work for justice and peace, and ·To build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom. |
Presbyterian Men's GroupThe Men's Group meets on the first Saturday of the month at 8am at Kerby's Koney Island on Mound Road at 12 Mile.
Mission is a major objective of the Men's Group. The group along with First Church members cultivate a community garden each season among many other outreach projects. |
