Presbyterian WomenPresbyterian Women (PW) meet on the second Thursday of each month at 9:45am. The meeting begins with refreshments and a faith study, followed by the business meeting. Women and men are both welcome to attend the study.
Our PW group is part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)'s national Presbyterian Women's organization. The purpose of PW is this: Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves: ·To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, ·To support the mission of the church worldwide, ·To work for justice and peace, and ·To build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom. Our Presbyterian Women's group is active in mission work, raising funds through the annual Soup and Salad Dinner and a rummage sale. They frequently support Second Mile Center in Detroit, an outreach of the Presbytery of Detroit's Presbyterian Women.
